ABOUT US
DANCE FOR ALL
The Movement Society is where adults of all abilities, backgrounds, and body types come to move, grow, and belong — right here in Marietta, GA.
Our mission is simple: to make dance an inspiring, uplifting, and empowering part of everyday life. From ballet and contemporary to jazz, hip hop, and beyond, our classes are designed to spark joy, build confidence, and connect you with a vibrant community. At The Movement Society, we celebrate diversity, embrace individuality, and believe there’s a place on the dance floor for everyone.
For over two decades, our studios have been dedicated to training pre-professional ballet dancers at the highest level. But professional dance is a niche career — only about 3–5% of aspiring dancers will go on to make it their livelihood. That leaves the vast majority of people, who share the same love for movement, without a place to continue exploring that passion beyond a professional path.
The Movement Society was created to change that. Our goal is to build an inclusive program for adults who simply love to dance. Whether you’re continuing your training, exploring new styles, supplementing your current practice, or just moving for the joy of it, our adult open classes welcome all levels and all backgrounds.
We are committed to offering a wide range of disciplines and bringing in a diverse group of instructors — teachers who not only share their expertise, but who inspire enthusiasm, spark curiosity, and give every student the confidence to move like they’ve always belonged on the dance floor.
Now, with a beautiful studio space, a vibrant vision, and a true community mindset, we’re opening our doors wider than ever before. The Movement Society is working to grow what we hope will become Metro Atlanta’s version of New York’s thriving adult dance scene: a place where everyone can move, grow, and belong.
